TLG has developed it’s systems for clients with as few as 75 learners or as many as 100,000. We believe that emerging enterprises, whether they have 100 employees or 10,000, should have access to the same high quality resources, inspired designers, media assets and technological wizardry as is available to the big players. Whether you want to improve the return on your training dollar or improve the training dollars returned to you, TLG can help.
TLG has designed, built, implemented, and maintained its learning solutions for customers in North America and abroad. Clients range widely in size and hail from a variety of industrial sectors including health care, tourism, retail, aerospace, manufacturing, gaming, and government. We also work extensively with not for profits and industry associations.
Our clients prove our commitment. Here are just a few examples of the clients TLG has partnered with to create innovative workplace solutions:
OVERALL STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION FOR EDUCATION INDUSTRY
TLG assisted the Information and Communications Technology Association of Manitoba (ICTAM) to define and develop an innovative competency-based skills development model for the ICT industry in Manitoba. TLG developed the overall strategy, worked with industry to define skill clusters and essential skill requirements, defined an overall curriculum and learning content model, and developed a skills self-assessment tool. TLG helped from the initial grant funding request phase through to implementing the system. TLG is now integrating this work with Colleges and Immigrant Service Organizations in Manitoba.
TRANSPORT AND AEROSPACE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TLG
TLG was hired by the Canadian Aviation Maintenance Council (CAMC) to help develop a model for a prior learning assessment and foreign credential recognition system in the aerospace sector in Canada. The model included in-country and overseas activities, linkages with diverse stakeholders such as colleges and universities, Transport Canada, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, aerospace industry associations, the Canadian Armed Force, and others. TLG also helped define the delivery mechanisms and integrated stakeholders to make use of existing infrastructure.
ENGLISH AS AN ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE TRAINING
TLG was contracted by the Adult Language Training Branch of the Department of Labour and Immigration, Province of Manitoba, to produce an overall strategy for a province-wide learning system for EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners. TLG defined the overall approach and brought together stakeholders to validate the initial design. TLG also determined delivery mechanisms, business model approaches, and pricing for development. TLG is currently producing the system components including an innovative online language self-assessment tool and self-directed online learning content aligned with the Canadian Language Benchmarks.
REALIZING REVENUE GENERATION FROM LMS
The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council has partnered with TLG to design, develop, implement and support their entire online learning and certification management system. Headquartered in Ottawa, the CTHRC operates in conjunction with provincial and territorial organizations to deliver national learning and certification programs in tourism-related occupations. TLG has been involved in developing industry-based occupational standards, certification processes, learning strategies, production, maintenance and support of the CTHRC national learning and certification system. TLG’s LMS (Learning Management System) provides an integrated storefront/administrative tool that allows the CTHRC along with the provincial/territorial bodies to work independently or in concert on the selling, delivery and management of both on and offline training and certification products. This online “hub” for the CTHRC drives all learning system activities and integrates all of the stakeholders in the CTHRC environment.
LMS FOR THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY ACROSS CANADA
TLG has customized its Learning Management System for a major organization focused on healthcare training and certification in Canada. The system provides an online registration system to its customers, as well as a tool through which they will manage their training and assessment products and services across the country. Part of the system customization included a competency validation manager for annual competency demonstration requirements unique to the healthcare industry. TLG has also redesigned much of their ILT to transitioned learning.
MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION CANDIDATES PREPARE FOR NATIONAL DESIGNATION
TLG worked with a management association to adapt the functions in the LMS for their initial roll out. The result was a system that provided the first phase functions, along with expansion capabilities as well. To date, provincial offices in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia have all connected with the system through their personalized provincial access pages. The provincial offices share mission critical data between them while retaining the privacy of province-specific data. TLG's instructional designers and content writers also worked with existing learning content to re-purpose it for online delivery.
MAJOR MANUFACTURER USES LMS TO ENHANCE CHANNEL PARTNER TRAINING
TLG customized its LMS to meet the training needs of the retail arm of a major furniture manufacturer across its North American operations. The system allows the manufacturer to offer learning content and management functions to its own retail stores as well as to its considerable network of partner organizations reselling or distributing their products. TLG is also designing and developing the online sales and product knowledge training for delivery through the system.
